Brazilian Studies

In Brazilian Studies pupils learn about the environment and the people that make up this continental-sized country. Through an exploration of its culture, nature, economy, politics, and society, pupils are forge an awareness of the historical and geographical features, and make intrinsic links between the past and to the modern day.

Pupils compare and contrast regions, celebrating diversity within the territory and the population. The many different facets of Brazil are ever-changing and so current global and local issues are consistently addressed.

Through individual and group projects, active investigation, and the engagement of higher-order thinking skills, pupils develop an appreciation of how such a young country was formed.
